In this episode, a guest and I discuss the practical effects that society imposes when thinking about our own free will and decision making. I revisit the Starbucks scenario from last episode's intro. We dive into topics such as how social norms and our concern with what others think can feel like limiters to our number of choices or selections that we feel we may have in any given situation. Finally, we get into a discussion on how race and gender factor in to how us as humans live, act, and make decisions that may seem like nothing for one group of people, but could seem hugely important to another.
